William Hide guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of Richard Gifford in the parish of [part of indictment missing] [Old Cutslow] on 19th October 1778: stealing therefrom a pair of silver shoe buckles (valued at 20/-), 5 linen shirts (valued at 20/-), 4 pairs of worsted stockings (valued at 8/-), a linen handkerchief (valued at 3/-), another handkerchief (valued at 2/-), a pair of scissors (valued at 6d), a metal watch chain, 6 copper halfpennies, a gold guinea and 3/6 in money numbered.
